Upgrade Information for DriveCrypt 4.4 and
DriveCrypt Plus Pack 3.5

How to upgrade to DriveCrypt 4.4:

1) Make sure you are eligible for upgrade (you purchased your software in the last six months or you have a valid 12 month upgrade service). If you are not eligible for upgrade, please login to the customer area of SecurStar and purchase 12 month upgrade.

2) From the customer area, download the latest version of the DriveCrypt software.

3) Uninstall the old DriveCrypt version. During this step you will be asked if you wish to uninstall the software automatically (web uninstall) or manually.

If you choose web uninstall (recommended), the software will connect to our server and reset your license key. If you choose manual de-installation, you will be provided with a de-installation code (destruction code) this code can be used on our customer area to manually destroy the active license and allow the generation of a new license.

4) Install the new version of DriveCrypt

5) Register the new version of DriveCrypt, using either the automatic (online) or manual method. http://www.securstar.com/afterpurchase.php

Note: The new version of DriveCrypt will still open old encrypted containers or partitions, provided you know the password.

How to upgrade to DriveCrypt Plus Pack 3.5:

1) Make sure you are eligible for upgrade (you purchased your software in the last six months or you have a valid 12 months upgrade service). If you are not eligible for upgrade, please login to the customer area of SecurStar and purchase 12 month upgrade.

2) From the customer area, download the latest version of the DriveCrypt Plus Pack software.

3) Decrypt your boot partition

4) Remove boot authentication

5) Uninstall the old DriveCrypt Plus Pack version. During this step you will be asked if you wish to uninstall the software automatically (web uninstall) or manually.

If you choose web uninstall (recommended), the software will connect to our server and reset your license key. If you choose manual de-installation, you will be provided with a de-installation code (destruction code) this code can be used on our customer area to manually destroy the active license and allow the generation of a new license.
